It is our goal at Holy Family Academy to have students be lifelong learners and our students will need to be able to use technology to do that.
Our technology/computer lab classes provide students with the tools they need for 21st century learning and to expand their knowledge not only in their classroom curriculum, but also in the global world in which we now live.
All of our lessons are designed to help the children achieve their grade appropriate technology literacy skills and all the lessons adhere to the National Technology Education Standards as well as the State of New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards for Technology.
Our technology education curriculum includes; ethics and how technology affects our ever-changing world, technology vocabulary, keyboarding, computer basics, word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, charts and graphs, database, electronic research, multimedia and presentation literacy skills. Class projects are designed to show students how these skills are used in real-world situations.
Holy Family Academy believes that technology should be incorporated into all areas of our academic curriculum. We are very excited, about the opportunities we offer to utilize technology, to get our students excited about learning! |
